Kyshell's Helpful Tips

• Hiring a scooter HALVES the travel time for every destination. However; it is not for the faint hearted. Traffic is wild.
  
  

• Have a healthy fear of the monkeys. You do not want to pat them. You definitely don't want to feed them. Don't have loose items on you when visiting monkey territory - they will steal it and pawn it for bananas.

  
  

• PLEASE try to avoid Bali Belly prior to the wedding. Be super strict -
  
  

  • Do not drink the tap water or let it touch your mouth. Have bottled water to brush your teeth.
    
    

  • Unopened bottled water and premix cans of alcohol is safest. It is always a gamble drinking a cocktail, having ice cubes, or trusting the water at restaurants.
    
    

  • We use a UV steriliser pen for all our water to save on plastic bottles, but these are $200 - $300
    
    

  • No cut fruit or salads - all can be washed in tap water. stick to well cooked hot meals. As for fruits; stick to bananas and mandarins - anything with a skin on.
    

  • Just because you CAN get street food for $2 doesn't mean you SHOULD.
